Singapore-based IndoChine Group, announces its continuation to extend its reach overseas with the launch of new venues in New Delhi, and a second venue in Kuala Lumpur next month. On the push for global expansion the Group will also break into the Middle Eastern market with another venue set to open in Dubai early next year.
Although the Group’s biggest advancement will no doubt be their first foray into resort and hotel development with The Reef in Phuket, Thailand due for completion later next year.
Mr Michael Ma, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of IndoChine Group said, “We are extremely pleased about this exciting opportunity to expand the business further overseas and offer the IndoChine experience through different IndoChine brands on a global platform.”
Ma contines, “As an international company, the IndoChine Group is now in the unique position to design and implement venues that deliver the IndoChine experience to many others by engaging and entertaining at our multiple venues in various guises all over the world. Our business module has been very successful, hence our push for global expansion.”
As for opening the second venue in Kuala Lumpur next month, Ma explains, “Being in Kuala Lumpur for the last few years has given us an in-depth knowledge of what KL’s market demands. However, just like any other market, the needs and wants of customers there will change, and being in touch with our customers, the market and industry trends provides us with an advantage in being one step ahead of our competitors.”
Explaining the motivation behind the interest in the Middle East, Ma says, “We have established the IndoChine brand in Asia, and it’s important to note that part of IndoChine’s strategy for success is working with strong partners for our overseas projects. Our priority is to develop IndoChine into an exceptionally global brand. My primary role fronting these projects is to ensure the overall experience is truly IndoChine.”
“The opening of our Dubai venue is still in its infancy stages, although we have secured a premium site at this stage. It’s time to raise the bar for high-quality entertainment and partying in our overseas venues and Dubai will provide our valued guests with a stylish and sophisticated atmosphere where they can enjoy the finer pleasures the East has to offer,” says Ma who has an Indo-Chinese background.
Venturing into the unexplored territory of hotel development for the Group, The Reef in Phuket will be a fully-fledged 140 room resort facing the beachfront of Patong Beach, inspired by the natural modular form of a coral reef.
When asked why Phuket after the devastating Boxing Day tsunami, Ma explains, “Basically it comes down to the potential we saw in the resurgence and rising level of interest in the Phuket area.
Surprisingly, people are not deterred. If anything, they are proud to contribute to the rebuilding of Thailand’s economy through tourism,” concludes Ma.
