Singapore (PRWEB) April 26, 2010
Aerospace Supplier eXchange (ASX) 2011, the Premier Aerospace Supplier Event in Asia, will once again deliver a comprehensive showcase of the latest technologies and solutions available in the global marketplace at one platform, to meet the rising demands of both Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) from Asia and beyond.
ASX, which is jointly organised by the Association of Aerospace Industries (Singapore), or the AAIS, and IIR Exhibitions, is a biennial exhibition and conference that features the 3rd and 4th tier suppliers who service the vibrant Aerospace Industry.
After the resounding success of the inaugural event in 2009, ASX 2011 will be moving to a larger venue at the new state-of-the-art Exhibition and Convention Centre at the Marina Bay Sands from 27-29 April 2011. For its 2nd staging, the show targets to achieve a much larger showcase featuring over 130 exhibiting companies from more than 10 countries around the world.
The events wide range of exhibitors which hail from renowned international companies and brand names from the industry have chosen the ASX as their gateway for entry into lucrative Asian markets. ASX 2011 is expecting participation from key industry players at the international pavilions, namely China, Malaysia, India, Jamaica, United Kingdom and Mexico.
Companies that participated at ASX 2009 were able to fruitfully reach out to their local and regional clients. This year, the Singapore Pavilion is expected to stage an even stronger presence with the return of Chin Yee Engineering, Raycom Aerospace Pte Ltd & Singapore Epson Industrial Pte Ltd, and new companies like Dassault Systemes Singapore Pte Ltd who have already confirmed their exhibition space.
Exhibitors and visitors alike found ASX 2009 to be an excellent sourcing ground and networking platform for the thriving aerospace manufacturing market in this region. We are very pleased with the enthusiastic response as many participants have made plans to be back again for ASX 2011. At IIR Exhibitions, we see immense potential in ASX 2011 and we aim to bring a larger number of international participants for next years event. said Rosalind Ng, Managing Director of IIR Exhibitions.
The recent economic and industry recovery has driven exhibitors to make a strong return to ASX in 2011. According to the latest study by AeroStrategy Limited, the MRO growth in the Asia-Pacific will rise at a CAGR of at least 5.1%. Other statistics show aerospace manufacturing in the region will continue to boom in the coming years. Singapore leads the pack, having experienced up to 13% CAGR in MRO since 1990, and similar double-digit growth in manufacturing in the same period.
It is important for companies to position themselves well in order to capitalise on the upturn, and leveraging on platforms such as the ASX will allow aerospace suppliers to effectively showcase their best to global aerospace buyers. The ASX aims to support this growing base of local aerospace-supporting companies by providing a focused, international business-to-business event that brings relevant trade buyers together for possible business partnerships and networking opportunities, said Dr Aloysius Tay, Chief Executive, AAIS.
Further, it is also important for us to engage foreign suppliers to exhibit at the ASX, so as to enhance our offerings in the region. This diversity will allow Singapore to maintain our reach and our status as the MRO hub of choice in the region, added Dr Tay.
An integral part of the Exhibition, the ASX 2011 high-level conference that will take place on the first 2 days of the exhibition, will give detailed perspectives and valuable information to industry professionals on key topics such as growth in aircraft manufacturing activities in the region, supplier management and policies, R&D and safety in the growing aerospace market, which would focus primarily on the needs of senior managers as well as operations and technical managers and planners.
ASX also sees prominent presence and support from well-regarded industry associations and relevant organisations such as the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Singapore Economic Development Board, International Enterprise Singapore, Singapore Exhibition & Convention Bureau, SPRING Singapore and the Singapore Tourism Board.
